I am always surprised how much I have walked when…
A visit to Le Jardin Majorelle- YSL Garden
Forty years of dedication and passion went into this garden to create this enchanting place people enjoy so much nowadays.
It couldn’t be a more beautiful setting to put on this white floral lace dress. I found it in a small boutique in my hometown and fell in love with it at first sight. After trying it on, the decision was made. Despite the price I simply had to buy it.
To me this is the perfect summer dress. When I saw it I could already picture myself walking down some small streets in Venice with a Gelato in my hand or well, wearing this cute little dress in the beautiful gardens here in Marrakech that already been inspiring the master himself Yves Saint Laurent.
The green colors of the plants as well as the vibrant blue of the Moorish building were a great contrast to the simple white of my dress. I danced around in the garden and enjoyed the warm sun shining on my face.
We got up really early to be the first ones at Le Jardin Majorelle and that’s why we could really enjoy the atmosphere and beauty of the garden without having any other people around. A unique feeling.
As you wander along the shady lanes, in the midst of trees and exotic plants, past pools filled with water lilies and lotus flowers the bustling city feels so far away. The small, but magnificent garden feels like an oasis, a retreat and it didn’t take me long why painters and designers came here to seek calmness and inspiration.
