Dreaming of Spain? Visit Benidorm this summer!

If you’ve heard of Benidorm in Spain, you probably associate it with thriving tourism and lively nightlife. If you’re looking for a holiday that’s entertaining as it is good value for money, Benidorm, on the Costa Blanca, is definitely a location to bear in mind. Here are five reasons why…

Amusement parks galore

For anyone traveling with kids (or adults who are big kids at heart!), Benidorm’s excellent amusement parks should be top of the list. The best rollercoasters in town can be found at Terra Mítica, while watery fun can be had splashing around at Aqualandia or Terra Natura, where animal lovers can also get their wildlife fix. Guaranteed fun in the sun.

Benidorm Island

If you’re seeking a little adventure that the whole family will love, make sure you set aside time for a trip to Benidorm Island. Known locally as Peacock Island for its peacock population, this charming little islet is located just off the coast of Benidorm and can be accessed by a cheap ferry service leaving every hour. Pack a picnic and spend a few hours exploring and snapping photos of the mainland.

The stunning Algar Falls

Drive north out of Benidorm for thirty minutes and you’ll reach Les Fonts d’Algar, otherwise known as the Algar Falls. This beautiful complex of pools and waterfalls is an excellent spot for a half-day trip out of the main town when you’ve had enough of sunbathing! Just remember to bring your swimsuit and some durable waterproof shoes for clambering around the rocks.

Benidorm’s beautiful Old Town

Benidorm might be best known for its beach-front strip of restaurants, bars and souvenir shops, but its Old Town has plenty of charms to keep you busy and entertained. Spend your time in this part of town wandering the cobbled streets, stopping in at the pretty blue-domed church of San Jaime, and stuffing your face with the freshest Spanish cuisine on Tapas Alley (otherwise known as Calle Santo Domingo).

Affordable, all-in-one resorts

One of the best things about Benidorm holidays is how affordable they are, particularly if you’re taking a family vacation and have your little ones to think about. Shop around for the best deal and you’ll be able to tailor a holiday to your exact specifications and budget; whether you’re looking for one all-inclusive price or a kid-friendly hotel offering plenty of family activities, Benidorm will have something to suit you perfectly.

To recap, that’s a Spanish destination with sea, sun, sand and activities to keep the whole family busy. What more could you want?
